Netflix's Dead-End Job (Korean title 꿀알바, literally "honey part-time job") is an eight-episode horror series that premiered on October 30, 2026. Lee Jae-wook plays Hyuk-jun, a young man buried in debt who walks into a mysterious staffing agency — Geomi, or Spider Staffing — that offers part-time jobs starting at 50 times the minimum wage. Each episode sends him to a new workplace, and each workplace hides a new nightmare.

The series turns the most ordinary corners of Korean life into horror stages: a convenience store at night, a clown at a local event, a milk delivery route, a late-night cinema, a construction site, and finally a theme park's night carnival. Director Kim Da-min previously wrote the screenplay for Netflix's A Killer Paradox, and the show's writers are Gyeong Min-seon and Lee Shin-ji.

Filming ran from April 14 to October 28, 2025. The series premiered early at the 31st Busan International Film Festival, where episodes 1 to 4 screened on October 8 at the Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae. It reached No. 1 in Korea on Netflix on October 31, 2026.

The good news for fans: the show's most memorable places are real, visitable spots — a street in Dapsimni, a working 7-Eleven in Sinchon, a neighborhood cinema in Jeonju, and a full-size theme park in Daejeon. Here are four of them, with addresses.

Information checked: November 3, 2026.

What is Dead-End Job (꿀알바) about?

Dead-End Job is a survival-horror series about labor. Hyuk-jun, cornered by debt, answers a flyer for Geomi Staffing, an agency that introduces only "honey jobs" paying at least 50 times the minimum wage. There is one rule: never talk about what happens at work. His first job looks like an ordinary convenience-store night shift — until a swarm of moths attacks. The more dangerous the job he survives, the higher the day rate climbs.

Each of the eight episodes features a different workplace and a new "final boss": a convenience store, a clown event, a milk delivery route, a late-night cinema, a clinical trial, a construction site, and a theme park's night carnival. Go Min-si plays Eum Yeon-ju, Kim Min-ha plays Hyuk-jun's younger sister Ji-yoon, and Lee Hee-jun plays the Spider boss who runs the agency.

Where is the Spider Staffing Agency filmed?

The spot identified for Geomi Staffing, the agency at the center of the whole series, is an old commercial street in Dapsimni, in Seoul's Dongdaemun-gu.

  • Address: 37 Dapsimni-ro, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Cheongnyangni Station, exit 3, about an 8-minute walk)

  • In the show: Hyuk-jun follows the flyer here and signs his first contract. The nearby Dapsimni underpass also appears on screen.

The street is a real, lived-in neighborhood of small shops and old offices — exactly the kind of place a shady staffing agency would hide. The agency's eerie office interior is a set, so what you can actually see is the street and the building area, not the office itself.

Where is the Episode 1 convenience store?

Episode 1, "The Convenience Store's Operating Principles," was filmed at a real working 7-Eleven in Sinchon.

  • Address: 7-Eleven Sinchon One-Room, 22 Seongsan-ro 22-gil, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul (Sinchon Station, exit 2, about a 15-minute walk)

  • In the show: the ENTER convenience store where Hyuk-jun works the night shift and the moth swarm attacks.

The episode adapts writer Gyeong Min-seon's short story "The Convenience Store's Operating Principles." The store operates normally, so visit as a customer — buy something, take your photo outside, and don't block the entrance.

Where is the Episode 4 late-night cinema?

Episode 4, "Midnight Fantasy Theater," was filmed at a real neighborhood cinema in Jeonju.

  • Address: Joy N Cinema, 74-25 Jeonju Gaeksa 3-gil, Wansan-gu, Jeonju

  • In the show: the New World Cinema, where Hyuk-jun's sister Ji-yoon gets pulled into a night shift among mysterious late-night guests.

Joy N Cinema is a small independent cinema on Jeonju's Gaeksa street in the old downtown, a short walk from the Hanok Village area. Check its screening schedule if you want to watch a film there — the lobby and the street outside are the recognizable parts.

Where is the Neoworld theme park from Episodes 7 and 8?

The final two episodes, the Neoworld night opening and the last carnival, were filmed at a real theme park in Daejeon.

  • Address: Daejeon O-World, 70 Sajeonggongwon-ro, Jung-gu, Daejeon

  • In the show: the Gyeongil Neoworld theme park, where the night parade turns into a dark fairy-tale carnival and all four main characters gather.

O-World is a full-size park with rides, a zoo, and gardens, so the show's crowds and lights are the real thing. It is a ticketed park — check opening hours before you go, and note that the night parade in the show is staged for filming, not a regular event. The episode 7 circus scene was filmed separately at World Art Circus in Dangjin, Chungcheongnam-do.

Can you visit the Dead-End Job filming locations?

Yes — all four are real public places. The convenience store and the cinema operate normally, O-World is a ticketed theme park, and the Dapsimni street is an ordinary neighborhood. Go as a visitor, not as a film crew: don't block shop entrances, don't enter private buildings, and keep noise down in residential streets.

One honest note: these locations were identified from a fan-compiled list of 42 filming spots, cross-checked against the show's episode guide and Namu Wiki's filming-locations section. Street exteriors and real businesses match the screen, but interiors — the agency office, the cinema auditorium — were largely built on sets. What you are visiting is the real place behind the scene, and that is the fun of it.
